The pallet shuttle system is a semi-automated, high-density storage solution that combines elements of drive-in racking with automated handling. It uses a motorized shuttle (a robotic cart) that runs on rails within the racking structure to move pallets in and out of storage positions. The forklift places the shuttle and pallet at the entrance of the storage lane, and the shuttle then automatically transports the pallet to the designated position.
