Warehouse Pallet Rack Systems

All Types of Pallet Racking at Alta Material Handling

If you already know what you’re looking for, give us a call and we’ll help you find it. Our selection of industrial racking includes any type of pallet racking you may need.

  • Single Selective: A storage system that allows for individual access to each pallet stored on the rack.

  • Double Deep: A storage system where pallets are stored in two rows, with each pallet being accessible from the front and back.  Requires a deep-reach forklift.

  • Drive-In: A high-density storage system where pallets are stored on rails and retrieved by a lift truck driving into the rack structure. This type of racking allows for maximum storage capacity in a limited space, but limits access to only the front of each pallet.

  • Pushback: A type of storage system that allows for multiple pallets to be stored on each level, with the ability to push back the pallets to access the ones in the back. This allows for a high density of pallet storage and efficient use of space.

  • Pallet Flow: A type of storage system where pallets are loaded at the back of the rack and flow towards the front using roller/wheels. It allows for high-density storage and easy access to products with a first-in, first-out (FIFO) flow.

  • Cantilever: A type of storage system that uses horizontal arms extending out from a vertical column to support and organize long or bulky items such as lumber, pipes, or furniture. This type of racking allows for easy access and organization of items without the need for cross-bracing or vertical supports in the middle of the rack.

  • Mezzanine: A raised platform that is built within a warehouse to provide additional storage or workspace. It is typically constructed using steel and can be accessed via stairs or a lift.

  • Pick Module: An essential part of a warehouse's operations as it allows for efficient and accurate order fulfillment. It is typically designed to optimize the process of picking items from storage racks and preparing them for shipment.

  • Industrial Shelving: An essential component for efficient and organized storage of goods. They come in a variety of sizes and designs to fit different types of items such as boxes and totes. They are designed to be easily adjustable and expandable, allowing warehouse managers to adapt to changing storage needs.

  • Carton Flow: A type of warehouse storage system that uses gravity to move boxes or cartons along a sloping surface, allowing for easy access and picking of items at the front of the rack while replenishing stock at the back. It is often used in high-volume operations to increase efficiency and reduce labor costs.
